Flame-retardant fabrics: inherent vs treated

Inherent flame-retardant fabric
Materials such as aramid have fire resistance built into their very structure. It does not wash out or wear off with use. Ideal for environments with continuous exposure to fire or radiant heat.

Treated flame-retardant fabric
Conventional fabrics (such as cotton) chemically treated to resist flames. They can meet CE standards, but the protection may diminish with washing and wear.
